A few articles recently circulated my friend group declaring a transition from a "out on the town" culture to a "stay in and snuggle" amongst millennials--the running joke is that I'm way ahead of the trend.
While I enjoy the occasional night out, I truly prefer staying in and low key evenings/weekends. I'm far from a homebody, but a casual dinner or entertaining at my apartment is much more my speed than a night on the town (even when I lived in the heart of Manhattan). I'd much rather find a fun local event (outdoor movie, local band, philanthropy event) and be in bed by 10pm.
One of my favorite things is waking up completely refreshed on a Sunday morning with no rush to get out the door, when I can stop and actually enjoy my coffee and lay back in bed with the pup.
Anyone else prefer to stay in/have low key nights?
